Nice way to spend an afternoon, we never lost and had a good chat about football in general with one of the Fortuna Dusseldorf 'Blues'.

Belgrade hop- Day 3 - Where Ipswich once played

Home team stayed top and in line for promotion, even after this draw. Home team were summoned to the far stand to hear complaints from small ultra group. Away coach sent off after he reacted badly to being pushed by a (very young) home spectator! Oh and I got to sit in the Presidents VIP Box for the second half!!

Morning beer and ice cream - Belgrade- April 2023

Day 3 started with a half built stadium, ice cream and beer at half time and then various meats and chips afterwards!

Belgrade - April 2023, Day 2

The highlight of the trip was going to be watching Red Star win the league, however the morning game, gave us a chance to see a team from the lower levels of the Serbian leagues but one that is fan owned and are taking part in a European cup with the likes of FC United.

The Red Star game - a win and pyro - not much more to say!

A 'must' visit stadium, took me 4 Serb groundhops, but got there eventually. 

Back to Belgrade - day 1

Great to be back on a Serbian Groundhop- 3 days, 6 great games, some superb stadiums and enjoying the whole time with great friends both Brits and Serbs.

Friday 21 April 2023, FK Jedinstovo Ub 3 RFK Novi Sad 0 - Priva Liga, Stadion Dragan Dzajic.

Game one, and a nice surprise! Serb grounds not known for food and drink in the ground, but here we found a brand new spa hotel built behind one goal with a raised outside are to sit and watch the game whilst cold beers were delivered to the table!

Game 2, FK Kolubara 0 FK Mladost Lucani 1 - Super Liga, Gradski Stadion, Lazeravac

Invited into VIP seats here, the highlight (?) of the game , was the home keeper elbowing an opposition forward, getting sent off and then the sub keeper, saving the penalty. Away team still got the win - in a stadium where the floodlights were the main focus of the hoppers eyes.
