Not a single save

Saturday 28 September 2013, Ipswich Town 2 Brighton and Hove Albion 0, Championship - Portman Road

Sunny day, great win plenty of football by both sides - only shock is that neither keeper made a save in the whole game!

Ground share and a nice white fence!

Wednesday 25 September 2013, Grays Athletic 4 Bury Town 3, Ryman League Premier Division, Mill Field, Averley FC

What is it about Thurrock, East London and this part of Essex? Clubs come, go, share grounds, share names, merge - but still some fans stay loyal. Over 100 Grays’ fans attended this home match- but not played in Grays but down the A13 in Averley - but closer to Grays than their previous home in Romford!!

The ground has seen better days, but a massive pitch, concrete path all the way round and a great wooden grandstand - with quaint white fence! Not all great as a poor clubhouse, expensive hot dog but visit if you can as Averley plan to move to a new home only a stone’s throw away. But as with many other clubs in this area- all dependent on selling their current home to developers- could be a long wait!

The game itself? Brilliant, seven goals, booking and a missed penalty!

Low crowds - why?

Tuesday 17 September 2013, Ipswich Town 2 Yeovil Town 1, Championship - Portman Road

Another win, struggled at times but the crowd seem to enjoy the way we are playing- 3 wins out of 4 at home and the crowds are still low, why?

Match day prices are far too high in my opinion - club need to look at the whole of their ticketing policy.

Also a concern that fans getting on the back of Luke Hyam - leave the kid alone, put another great shift in again last night.

Children of the Revolution

A great win, rain kept off - McGoldrick scoring and Hyam - (child of the revolution) man of the match, roll on Tuesday

Better than England?

Tuesday 10 September 2013, Heybridge Swifts 2 Harlow Town 1, Ryman League North Division, Scraley Road

Not many at Scraley Road, is that because of the England game or because Heybridge can't attract the locals? The England game was on in the club bar but as the Heybridge-Harlow game was more attractive the bar remained empty.

Brilliant ground for such a small crowd - helps to have a scaffolding firm as your main sponsor! The Texco Stadium!
