Saturday 1 September 2018, May & Baker Eastbrook Community Club 8 Burnham Ramblers 0 - FA Vase 1st Qualifying round, Barking Rugby Club
Sharing with a Rugby club as some advantages- great bar, food OK and they even had a balcony to watch the game from - but there is a downside- and at Barking the grass is far too long. Not that it stopped May & Baker playing football, as the score line shows but I reckon they would even be better if they could actually see their own boots!
Get the grass cut!!
Welcome to my blog that concentrates on my love of sports grounds, from the new stadia like the Millennium to the quant non league grounds of rural Engalnd. Thank you Arcibald Leitch!

Nice pitch, good ground and great football - but no home fans?
Tuesday 21 January 2014, Burnham Ramblers 1 AFC Sudbury 4, Ryamn League North - Leslie Field
Burnham are a club going in the right direction, nice ground, quality pitch, good youth set-up and play football the right way. Promotion last year has seen them rise to the Isthmian league and they have plans to move to an even better ground but one big problem, in a part of Essex with plenty of other clubs they are not getting the support from the local population and as with so many local rivals they have plenty of local games – luckily for them as with this Sudbury game if it had not been for the away fans then it would have been a very low gate. Burnham deserves much better support from the locals.
