They beat us 6-0 at the seaside so this was a sort of revenge- team worked hard and three points were much needed.
Welcome to my blog that concentrates on my love of sports grounds, from the new stadia like the Millennium to the quant non league grounds of rural Engalnd. Thank you Arcibald Leitch!

At least the youngsters played!
Saturday 14th January 2012, Ipswich Town 2 Blackpool 2 - Championship, Portman Road

Jewell picked the youngsters (or they were the only ones fit) and they played well! Hope (but not sure he will ) he will continue to go for Youth.
Plus if you have not done it yet, sign the petition asking the Club to go for Category 1 Academy Status: Sign here

We don't like to be by the Seaside!
Saturday 6th March 2010 - Blackpool 1 Ipswich Town 1 - Championship

Well the ground may have 3 real stands now but the away fans are still stuck on temporary seating on one side of the ground, fortunately for us, it was a sunny March day so we did not end up getting soaked. that would have been even more galling as we sat next to the empty Jimmy Armfield Stand.

Blackpool themselves are in a hurry to get this new stand open as the game was a sell out for home fans. One plus point from that is you get a number of neutrals sitting with the away fans, we had a family from Sunderland behind us (not that keen on our Roy) and in front of us a number of Glasgow Rangers fans. Not sure they will be rushing back to see Ipswich play, yet again a performance that left many of us not sure in what direction we are heading.

What I did manage to get on my trip was a picture of the Stan Mortensen statue at the Bloomfield Road ground.
