As had to stay local today as had an evening event but the two Step 7 games on my radar quickly bit the dust, so G3 card played for a revisit to Sudbury - as they playing second placed Heybridge, thought I would get a good game and goals.
Good news for the paper chasers, arrived and surprised to get a free programme as Sudbury had moved to on-line programmes a while ago, and was informed they were doing free programmes to get supporters interested as they were going back to printed programmes next season.
Football wise, a close game with a very young Sudbury side playing well against one of the top teams, second half saw Heybridge take the lead through their top scorer Teniola. However Sudbury stayed in the game and then got two penalties, both for handball, the first offender being Teniola. Obvious to all that the ball had struck hand for both penalties, you could argue that neither were deliberate.
A good result for a very young Sudbury team.
Ground wise, all you would want at this level - and higher! Good club house, large car par, covered seats and terracing - only downside, not enough staff working on the catering which saw big queues.
