My second trip to Redbridge and this time the game was on! Another metropolitan derby, and there are plenty in this part of East London/Essex. Mergers, amalgamations, ground sharing, lost grounds - every club seems to have a link with another club and all seem to have some sort of connection to the Ford Motor Company!
Redbridge still hold the nickname the Motormen whilst Romford have played at a number grounds owned by Ford's.
This was a relegation battle but both teams looked to pass the ball - great goalkeeping by both keepers kept the score low, but it was an enjoyable and dry night in East London.
