A tenner?
Monday 22 April 2013, Colchester United Reserves 0 Ipswich Town Reserves 3, Under 21 League - Weston Homes Stadium
Always good to see the 'stars' of the future and a nearby away game - but do not expect to attract many fans at £10 to get in!

Winning run comes to an end
Saturday 20 April 2013, Brightlingsea Regent 1 Great Yarmouth Town 2, Thurlow Nunn Division One - North Road
The Essex side had not been beaten since September, so did my visit bring bad luck? Not sure, a weak side, promoted already and a Yarmouth side that looked much better than a mid table outfit. Yarmouth deserved the win and as they meet in the cup again soon it should make that game more interesting
70's Football fashion still alive on the Essex coast

Summer sport?
Friday 5 April 2013 - New York Mets 5 Miami Marlins 7, National League Baseball - Citifield, New York
My first baseball match and the first night game of the season - mistake- bloody freezing and this certainly is a summer sport. I arrived at this fantastic stadium with a basic knowledge of the way the sport I splayed but with a slightly better understand of the history of the game. My brother (who lives in NYC) gave me some tips but was also in shock that I had chosen a Mets game- Yankees are by far the most popular team in the city.
I enjoyed the game- even in the cold and was amazed at the catering at the event- pizzas to burgers to crinkly chips! So if you get a chance to visit a ball park in the US, take it - you will not be disappointed

Dockers Day
Monday 1 April 2013, Millwall 0 Ipswich Town 0, Championship - The New Den
Bank holiday Monday, a good point at Millwall and 4 points from Easter but we find ourselves closer to the bottom! A strange division this year!
