'Super-Juden' - A (Short) Viennese whirl - Day 3

 Day 3 - Monday 23rd October 2023

Could not find a game today, even in Slovakia the Czech Republic and as the Austria Cup had games from Wednesday nothing on in Vienna - but all was not lost of the football front.

I had spotted that there was a football exhibition on at the Vienna Jewish Museum in Dorotheergasse, close to St Stephens Platz.

15 Euros got you into the museum and one whole floor was dedicated to an exhibition about football that is on till the 14 January 2024.

Exhibition is called  'Super-juden' and covers teams with a Jewish background. The first part is about two Vienna clubs- First Vienna and Austria Wien, with some brilliant old team photos', Mitropa Cup medals and the best bit, in my eyes, a painting of a game being played before the war at the Naurarena Hohe Warte.

The next part of the exhibition was dedicated to Bayern Munich, Ajax Amsterdam and Tottenham Hotspur. As you get to visit the whole museum, would recommend a visit to any football fans visiting the city.

New Jason?

Wednesday 23 April 2014, Ipswich Town Under 15s 2 Tottenham Hotspur Under 15s 4 - Portman Road, Academy showcase game.

Seemed a flash back in time as a young Dozzell strolled around the Portman Road turf, occasionly not looking bothered and then producing some amazing pass and then with that natural confidence to pick up the ball and put a penalty away with style. Let's hope he keeps improving and we see him make the first team in a few years time
