Saturday 3 October 2015, Southend Manor 1 Hadley 1, FA Vase Second Round qualifying - Southchurch Park
I am getting worried, am I letting this groundhopping bug take my life over? I decided not to watch Clapton play just 2 miles from my house just to drive to Southend to watch a Vase game on a half football ground half park pitch stadium - but then again I did get to see 3 red cards!
Welcome to my blog that concentrates on my love of sports grounds, from the new stadia like the Millennium to the quant non league grounds of rural Engalnd. Thank you Arcibald Leitch!

Goal too good for this game
Tuesday 6 January 2015, Enfield (1893) FC 1 Southend Manor 0, Essex Senior League- Barrows Farm (Ground of Harlow Town)
good ground and with a G3 pitch unlike much of Esssex, no problem but getting the game on. But there are many problems with the Essex Senior League, low crowds, standard of football, too many clubs sharing grounds - hard to compare with the Thurlow Nunn, which is at the same leval in the pyramid. There are some thriving clubs but many of those are in a hurry to move to the Ryaman League.
On the standard of play, the G3 pitch did not seem to help either team as both struggled to control the ball then with not long left came a bit of magic with a goal that would have been at home much further up the pyramid.
