Tuesday 6 October 2015, Great Wakering Rovers 5 Thurrock 1 - Ryman League Cup 2nd Round, Burroughs Park
A quick first half hat-trick by a Wakering player, quickly showed that one team were taking this cup tie seriously, Thurrock had played a team consisting mainly of reserve players but a couple of chnages at half time made the game more competitive but Wakering had a late bust and ran out easy winners in the end.
The club may be quite new to the Ryman League but have a very neat ground with plenty of character.
Welcome to my blog that concentrates on my love of sports grounds, from the new stadia like the Millennium to the quant non league grounds of rural Engalnd. Thank you Arcibald Leitch!

Away win at Capershotts!
Tuesday 24 March 2015, Waltham Abbey FC 1 Great Wakering Rovers 3, Ryman League, North Division - Capershotts
Expected more from Waltham Abbey after their fighting display at Needham last weekend but it turned out to be an easy away win for the Rovers - and to cap it all off, the Abbey missed a last minute openalty!
