Home game for the away team.

Sunday 6 March 2022, Livingston 1 Glasgow Celtic 3 - Scottish Premier League, Almondvale

Celtic had 3 stands (and a number of their fans were also in the only stand with home fans) - cracking atmosphere- and plenty of excitement on the pitch.

Livingston actually had the better of the early chances until a soft penalty was conceded- handball- thought harsh - but no issue as home keeper made a great save.

However, minutes later Celtic were in front, another poor bit of officiating as it should have been a Livingston goal kick but Lino gave a corner and Celtic scored from the corner.

Celtic then dominated the half without adding a second goal, In the second half Celtic started on the front foot and quickly added a second and it looked like the game was over as a contest, a third soon followed and even when Livingston got one back, the result was never in doubt.

Maybe not London, maybe not the Olympics but what a great event and great competition - just glad I was there.

Glasgow - a football city

Wednesday 1 August 2012
Egypt 3 v Belarus Under 23 1 - Olympics - Hampden Park
Celtic 2 v HJK Helsinki 1, Champions League - Parkhead

The Olympics 2012 - my first visit and not London but Glasgow, only just over 8,000 turned up for a good second half but also a well organised event - which attracted many family groups. Being in Glasgow, I was able in the evening to catch the Celtic Champions League game, a real football match- but guess what? I enjoyed both.
