We had to lose at some time

Saturday 10 January 2015,County Ipswich Town 0 Derby County 1 - Championship, Portman Road
Hadleigh United 6 FC Clacton 0, Thurlow Nunn Premier Division - Millfield

The good run had to come to an end but it was sad that it came in such a poor game, both teams were poor as was the ref - pity we did not win for the hundred or so Fortuna Dusseldorf fans who came over to watch the town, but I am sure they will come back.

But one good thing about an early kick of was being able to see a second game on the same bday and this one had plenty of goals -as Hadleigh got back to winning ways.

8 goal thriller or defensive disaster?

Tuesday 1 October 2013, Derby County 4 Ipswich Town 4, Championship - Pride Park

Only Ipswich can go from 4-1 up at half time to hanging on for a point at 90 minutes! Who would be a football fan?

A sad day

Tuesday 23 October 2012, Ipswich Town 1 Derby County 2, Championship - Portman Road

Manager still here, the Chairman on holiday, the Chief Executive does not know what he is doing - fans turning on the club, players turning on the fans on twitter.

A very sad day for a once proud club.

This weekend I will miss a home game, away in Spain - and for once I am glad I will not be at Portman Road

Getting better!

Saturday 17th December 2011 - Ipswich Town 1 Derby County 0, Championship - Portman Road

Two wins on the trot- getting better, but how much is it down to the loan players? Will they all still be here in January (one already gone)

Sack the board!

February 1st 2011 - Derby County 1 Ipswich Town 2 - Championship

As we don't seem to have a Board of Directors at Ipswich, we may never hear that cry again at Portman Rd, and 2 league wins on the trot also helps! Though if we play like we did last night (I know we won but we were still poor) there might be a few 'Sack Clegg' -not LibDem one - but he also needs sacking! But our Chief executive, Simon Clegg and also maybe 'Sack yourself' to Mr Evans.

But last night we did scrape a win, thanks mainly to having the only class player on the pitch - Jimmy Bullard and so the end of the game the chant of 'Sack the Board' was coming from the Derby fans, not a happy lot, and if we can beat them, it is no wonder they feel so angry.

wet and lost

Tuesday 9th November 2010 - Ipswich 0 Derby County 2, Championship

It rained and rained all day, but trouble is the game still went on - so we got wet and lost to a team as poor as us. Enough said. Roll on Saturday, it can only get better.

Clough Junior sent to the stands!

Monday 5th April 2010
Derby County 1 Ipswich Town 3
Clough Junior sent to the stands, wonder what Brian would have thought of that, and would have liked tp hear his views on the display of the two teams managed by two of his ex players
Oh and with the three points, it looks like we will be in the Championship again next season.
