How many selfies?

Tuesday 23 July 2024, Brantham Athletic 1 Ipswich Town Under 21 1 - PSF, Brantham Leisure Centre

Good to see Ipswich First team player, Harry Clarke at the game - he is an ambassador for Brantham - not sure he was expecting to do so many selfies! Autographs seem old hat!

Ipswich dominated the first half, but when younger subs came on for the second half, Brantham got on top - in the end, Ipswich were fortunate to get away with a draw.

Feisty game

Saturday 20 July, Ipswich Town Under 18s 3 Cambridge United Under 18s 2 - PSF, Bent Lane Training Ground

5 goals, could have seen two reds, plenty of entertainment on offer.

All about the minutes played, not the result!

Wednesday 18 July 2024, Leiston 3 Ipswich Town Under 21 1 - PSF, Victory Road

A very young U21 Ipswich team turned up for this game, held their own in the first half and went ahead 3 minutes before the break. However as they got tired and even younger subs came on, they lost their way slightly and Leiston ended up easy winners.

Always a friendly welcome at Leiston, good bar, quality burgers - only issue is always parking as very small car park and the road by the ground always fills up quickly.

Plenty of England shirts on show

Surrey win by 13 runs - Essex 176 -8 and Surrey 189 -9

Plenty of England football shirts on show as Surrey put on a display that showed why they are top of this group.

We start again

Saturday 6 July 2024, Watton United 3 Dereham Town 5 - Watton Sports Centre, PSF

Another season, another new ground - and not a bad game, but may take a few games before the football/groundhopper bug fully drags me back into the world where football runs your life.
