Saturday 23 February 2019, Sevenoaks Town 1 Ramsgate 1 - Isthmian League, South East Division, Greatness Park

Sunny almost tropical for this time of the year and the roads were clear so after a short journey we found ourselves at Greatness Park and a lovely setting, the clubhouse is outside the Ground, it is a G4 pitch and you could watch the game for free from on the hill but they are very minor points - it is a well run club, quirky stands and worth climbing the hill to get a photo from above.

Football wise, a draw was a fair result, and the match officials should also take a bow for keeping the game flowing- a nice way to spend a summers /February afternoon.

Tunbridge Wells FC a club full of Lawyers, Doctors and Architects!!

Tuesday 19 February 2019, Tunbridge Wells 1 Sheppey United 3 - Southern Counties East, Premier Division, Culverden

A club that was not long ago playing at Wembley in the Vase final but struggling this year, however they had plenty of the ball in this game and were on top for first 10 minutes but two nil down after 15 minutes!

Loved the ground, good old fashioned terracing behind the south goal and a good crowd of regulars turn up, who get behind their team but also are quick with their comment to banter with the opponents!

No win, but still fighting

Monday 11 February 2019, Norwich City U23 0 Exeter City U23 3 - Premier League Cup, Colney Training Ground.

We might not be good and we could be facing U23 sides in the Checktrade next year, but good news is that we will beat Norwich City U23 easy if we do play them.

Will we ever beat them again, or will we ever play them again?

Nice set up, free programme and a good sized cuppa, football wise a good goal and 2 good saves and that was about it for entertainment.

Like old times, watching a Battalion game, still plenty of hard tackles but a bit more dissent than I am used to in army football.

2 Para gave it everything and the score did not give them justice for the effort they put in..

The Garrison Pitch 'B' needs a bit of tender loving care.

London were promoted last year and are most peoples favourites to go down - well if they play like this every week, I would not be so certain! Great last 65 minutes after a shaky start.

My first visit to Trailfinders and thought it was decent home for a Championship side, but will need some work to get to the right size fro Super League. Work is going on but if they continue to win it may see a few full houses when the likes of Wigan and Leeds come to town.
