Double joy

Saturday 29 November 2014, Charlton Athletic 0 Ipswich Town 1, Championship - The Valley @12.15pm
Erith & Belvedere 0 Phoenix Sports FC 3, Kent Trophy, Round 2 - Park View Road @3pm

Football is a game of emotions and no more so than when you get a last minute win or you turn over your neighbours in a cup match - an early kick off in South London enable me to watch two games in one afternoon and what two great games!

A last minute win for Ipswich at Charlton and then a thumping cup win for Phoenix Sports against their league rivals, Erith and Belvedere - fantastic to see at both games the player and fans celebrating together after two brilliant wins.

No pain in the rain!

Tuesday 25 November 2014, East Thurrock 2 Dulwich Hamlet 2, Ryman Premier - Rookery Hill

It rained, and then rained some more but that did not stop the two teams playing attractive football and giving their all - in the end a fair result.

A game of two halves

Saturday 22 November 2014, Dereham Town 1 Chatham Town 1, Ryman League North, Aldiss Park

Corny but certainly was a game of two very differing halves - the home team on top in the first half but with the Kent club the far better team in the second 45.

At the home of the beach boys, no sun but we did get a rainbow and a smashing match

Great for Big Mick and TC

Tuesday 4 November 2014, Ipswich Town 2 Wolverhampton Wanderers 1, Championship - Portman Road

Nothing like beating the team that sacked you!

Smoke, flares and a man from South Yorkshire!

Sunday 2 November 2014, Panathinaikos 2 Astromotis 0, Greek Super League, Stadio Apóstolos Nikolaidis

A chance to see a game in Athens and a nice surprise to see that in goal for the hosts was Luke Steele, better known as the goalkeeper of South Yorkshire side - Barnsley. Lucky for him as the home keeper he did not have to endure the smoke filled welcome the Astromotis keeper received from the Panathinaikos ultra group 'Gate 13' or even the the heat of the numerous flares when Panathinaikos took the lead!
