120 minutes is a long time
Saturday 26 April 2014, Suffolk FA U18s 2 Lancashire FA Under 18s 3 - FA County Youth Cup Final - Portman Road
Great game, and players were out on their feet at the end, 120 minutes on a big pitch - hard work.

New Jason?
Wednesday 23 April 2014, Ipswich Town Under 15s 2 Tottenham Hotspur Under 15s 4 - Portman Road, Academy showcase game.
Seemed a flash back in time as a young Dozzell strolled around the Portman Road turf, occasionly not looking bothered and then producing some amazing pass and then with that natural confidence to pick up the ball and put a penalty away with style. Let's hope he keeps improving and we see him make the first team in a few years time

All to play for?
Saturday 21 April 2014, Ipswich Town 2 AFC Bournemouth 2, Championship - Portman Road

Pretend commentator!
Wednesday 8 April 2014 Tower Hamlets 2 London Bari 2, Essex Senior League - Mile End Stadium
Low crowd but worth a visit to see/hear the 'Pretend Commentator' even if one listen is enough for any football fan! Watch here

On trial
Monday 6 April 2014, Ipswich Town Reserves/ Under 21s 2 Swansea City Under 21s 1
Three trial players starting for Town today, some on very long trials! But how many will we sign? Probably two after watching today (at a very wet training ground)

No quarter given
Saturday 5 April 2014, Norwich United 2 Hadleigh United 2, Eastern Counties League - Plantation Park
With Hadleigh top but on a losing streak and Norwich United still hoping for a top five finish - this was not a game for the squeamish and both teams gave it all but even with many hard tackles there were were very few fouls.
Norwich will be disappointed not to hold on to the win but Hadleigh were threatening at every set piece so it was no surprise that both their goals came from set pieces.
A nice modern ground to visit but one that does not seem to attract many 'home' fans - very small crowd at the game to see table topping Hadleigh who had in their side former Ipswich Reserve and Exeter City player Richard Logan in their side.

More raffle prizes than fans attending!
Thursday 3 April 2014, Stansted 0 Barking 0, Essex Senior League, Hargrave Park
Great little ground, superb old stand and some of the friendliest club officials you can find - another gem of a non-league ground. Plus the game may have been goalless but the football was still absorbing.
