Dirty Leeds
Saturday 30 March 2013, Ipswich Town 3 Leeds United 0 - Championship, Portman Road
Dirty Leeds, the Yorkshire club were on top but shot themselves in the foot as they can't tear themselves away from their dirty side - good win, much needed as all the teams around us also won

Leave it late
Saturday 16 March 2013, Ipswich Town 1 Bolton Wanderers 0, Championship- Portman Road
We left it late but what a result - as it seems all the bottom teams keep winning, 3 points were needed- great pass by JET- can understand concerns about his work rate but we need his skills on the pitch

In the cup, out of the cup, back in and now out!
Wednesday 6 March 2013, Lowestoft Town 1 Ipswich Town XI 0, Suffolk Premier Cup Semi-final at Walmer Road, Kirkley
Some may say justice as we should not have been in it but we lost to Lowestoft a team that had six former academy players in their side plus a former Town trialist - good football played by the trawlermen and in the end deserved their victory against a very young Town side- Walmer Road was a nice venue and must get back there for a Saturday game.

Longest bar in Europe and a G4 pitch
Sunday 3 March 2013 - Saracens 35 London Weslh 14, Arriva Premiership- Allianz Stadium
Sunday saw me in North London as my daughter had set up a treat for my birthday - a visit to the Allianz Park - new hoime of Rugby side Saracens - and the novelty of a G4 pitch.
a former athletics stadium- well still an athletics stadium - Copthall Stadium, 3 temporary stands are laid out but with one amazing new stand – underneath it there is the longest bar in Europe. Surprise it is not all corporate- unlike Twickenham and the normal punter is spoilt. More different types of food than you can think of – I had a lamb curry wrap and you can even order a domino pizza that is delivered to your seat at half time. Beer is cheap and in special Saracens mugs.
Then you have the G4 pitch a godsend to a club like this and expect to see more of them in the UK soon in both top level rugby but also in the lower echelons of non-league football. If you get a chance go to Allianz Park, though expect the ‘sold out’ sign to go up at most of the remaining matches this season.
