So why did some Town fans not rate the Amex?
Saturday 25th February 2012, Brighton and Hove Albion 3 Ipswich Town 0, The Championship - Amex Stadium.
For some strange reason, some Town fans did not rate the new Brighton ground - the Amex - now I thought it was superb, not the usual copycat design of most new stadiums. the outside designed to match the South Downs stone, the banners with former Albion players, the quirky stands. Then the beer and pie, even serving a Suffolk beer!
So why did some Town fans not enjoy the experience? I think it was our display. First half we were the better team but went in one nil down and then the second half was a non-event.Over 2,000 Town fans and not even a song - the team were flat and so were the supprters.
But I for one thought it was a stadium worth a second visit. Well done Brighton (and anything would be better than the Withdean!)

Pompey fans - man of the Match
Tuesday 14th February 2012, Portsmouth 0 Ipswich Town 1, Championship - Fratton Park
No Valentines day massacre but we should have won by more than one, sad news about Pompey going into administration but a nice gesture at the end of the game when the fans were named as 'Man of the Match'.
One thing that does annoy me, is in the clamour to name Harry Redknapp as England Manager, journalists and pundits forget that he is part to blame for the mess Portsmouth are in. The Court may not have thought he was fiddling his taxes, but why was he getting a bonus anyway for selling players? The money from the sale of Crouch should have gone straight into the clubs coffers.

Does Clegg have a clue?
Saturday 11th February 2012, Ipswich v Middlesbrough - abandoned after 37 minutes, Portman Road
Two pitch inspections, last one at 2pm, game starts and after 37 minutes called off! I think the game should have been called off but the Football League (and the ref) need to say why it passed at 2pm but failed at 3.37pm.
Then the club need to answer why Mr Clegg was coming out with comments about how much money fans would get back without knowing the full details. Why was the club shop shut- yet again we see our great club turned into a laughing stock.

We always win when it's snowing
Saturday 4th February 2012, Coventry City 2 Ipswich Town 3, Ricoh Arena - Championship
Last season it was Leicester and WBA at home, blue lines and two great wins- not as much snow this time but even with some comedy type defending we did get a last minute win.
Wonder what Jimmy Hill would have thought? Would have been impressed that City now play in a flash arena, not so happy that it was less than half full- will look even more empty in Division One next year.
