Saturday 26th February 2011, Ipswich Town 0 Portsmouth 2 - Champioship, Portman Road
The football has improved, entertainment has returned we pass like a true Ipswich team but we lose - how can that be fair?
Welcome to my blog that concentrates on my love of sports grounds, from the new stadia like the Millennium to the quant non league grounds of rural Engalnd. Thank you Arcibald Leitch!

Another double game week and still passing well!
Tuesday 22nd February 2011 - QPR 2 Ipswich Town 0, Championship - Loftus Road
Wednesday 23rd February 2-11 - Ipswich Town reserves 4 Southend United Reserves 0, Playford Rd training ground, Combination
We lost at rangers, against a team that was top - but a neutral would have thought at half time that we were the table topping team. But for all our good play and the strings of passes we put together, we are lacking a goal threat up front, a similar story to the home game against Hull.
The Reserve game did see goals and again more passing and the best bit? Both the First team and the reserves are playing with a smile on their faces.

Raining but we now can pass like a true Ipswich team
Saturday 19th February 2011 Ipswich Town 1 Hull City 1, Championship, Portman Road
It may have rained, we may not have won, but we did learn to pass again, roll on QPR and West London next Tuesday.
oh, and that new lad Drury looks a bargain!

Two day goal feast!
Tuesday 15th February 2011 - Doncaster Rovers 0 Ipswich Town 6 - Keepmoat Stadium
Wednesday 16th February 2011 - Ipswich Town Reserves 4 Colchester United Reserves 0 - Playford Rd Training Ground
First match - cold and wet in South Yorkshire and then the next afternoon a slightly dryer- and warmer (just) afternoon at Playford Rd, but a number of things in common. Ipswich scoring freely, players playing with a smile, and confidence and the fans also smiling - we now find ourselves looking up the table rather than down it!

Leave them out of contract!
5th February 2011 - Ipswich town 3 Sheffield United 0 - Championship, Portman Road
Sir Bobby would have loved it - maybe we should keep all our players out of contract, Norris can't stop scoring and Delaney was outstanding. But one player is on a contract- young Connor Wickham, a fantastic solo goal- his value must have gone up a further few 0's today

Sack the board!
February 1st 2011 - Derby County 1 Ipswich Town 2 - Championship
As we don't seem to have a Board of Directors at Ipswich, we may never hear that cry again at Portman Rd, and 2 league wins on the trot also helps! Though if we play like we did last night (I know we won but we were still poor) there might be a few 'Sack Clegg' -not LibDem one - but he also needs sacking! But our Chief executive, Simon Clegg and also maybe 'Sack yourself' to Mr Evans.
But last night we did scrape a win, thanks mainly to having the only class player on the pitch - Jimmy Bullard and so the end of the game the chant of 'Sack the Board' was coming from the Derby fans, not a happy lot, and if we can beat them, it is no wonder they feel so angry.
